Father's Day Made Easy

Kensington at Chelmsford Blog, MA Apartments Father's Day is just around the corner. Here are some gift ideas to let him know you're thinking of him.

Are you ready for Father’s Day on Sunday, June 17th? In case you need ideas, we are sharing a few suggestions for how to celebrate your dad (or another important father figure) in today’s Kensington at Chelmsford Blog post. Let your dad know how much you love him by making his day extra special! While a tie or a wallet is a perfectly acceptable gift, there are other gifts that perhaps convey a little more sentimental thought. Here are a few we like.

A Game Day Celebration

Baseball season is in full effect. If your dad’s a sports lover, buy him tickets to one of the games on Father’s Day weekend. Can’t spring for actual tickets? Encourage your dad to invite a group of his friends over to watch the game. Prep some game day snacks for the gang and let him enjoy some drama-free baseball bonding time.

Hobby Supplies

Most Dads have a hobby. Do some detective work and find out what would make a great addition to his hobby, and get it for him. Or if you don’t know exactly what to get, purchase a gift certificate to a shop that caters to his hobby. Better yet, get him something for his hobby and set aside to participate in his hobby with him.

A gift that harkens back to your childhood or even your father’s younger years can be a hit. Was there an experience you shared? Perhaps choose something that reminds you (and him) of that time spent together. Did you share a love of collecting baseball cards with your Dad? Get one to add to his collection. Did you listen to vinyl records together? Get him a record player and some records from the past. If you’re going to go with a mug, instead of “World’s Greatest Dad” have one made featuring a favorite photo of the two of you.

Gift of Time

Spending time together may be the best gift you could give to your Dad. Get tickets to a sporting event, a theatre production, or a concert you know your Dad would enjoy — throw in dinner, and you’ve got the recipe for a meaningful gift.
